About The Program
Home Support Workers provide personal care and companionship for seniors, persons with disabilities and convalescent clients. Care is provided within the client’s residence, in which the home support worker may also reside. They are employed by home care and support agencies, private households, or they may be self-employed.
How Are You Going to Develop New Skills?
Lessons is developed with a Presentation-Practice-Performance format, through which the students put the knowledge into practice on a daily basis, through the tools and resources available at the classroom, which has been set up as a real room of a retirement home.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL STUDENTS
As a requirement for graduation from the Home Support Worker Diploma, students must provide the following to IBT College before a diploma can be issued: 1. CPR and Standard First Aid Level C (completed within 1 year) 2. Record of Mask Fit Test completed by a third party within 1 year 3. Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination 4. Prior of 2-step TB Skin Test
